The Social Democratic Labour Party of Lithuania (Lithuanian: Lietuvos socialdemokratų darbo partija, LSDDP) is a social-democratic political party in Lithuania. It is the second newest party in Lithuania, having been founded in 2018.[2]
The party's chairman since 2018 is Gediminas Kirkilas. The party is the junior partner in government in the unicameral Seimas, Lithuania's Parliament since 2018.[3] LSDDP has 50 sections.[4]
The party split from Social Democratic Party of Lithuania (LSDP) and was joined by former members of Labour Party following the LSDP's decision to exit a coalition with the Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union in 2017.
The party scored badly in the 2019 European Parliament election, scoring only 2,36% of votes and failing to elect any MEP.
