Stevens MRT station (DT10/TE11) is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Downtown Line in Tanglin, Singapore.

Located along the Bukit Timah corridor, it serves not only the nearby private residential estates, but also students and staff of the Singapore Chinese Girls' School.

Stevens station will become an interchange with the upcoming Thomson-East Coast Line in 2021.

Art in Transit

"PIN - 23040" by Om Mee Ai is an artwork that illustrates existing patterns in nature that constitute an historical dimension of the junction of Stevens and Bukit Timah. It is to evoke commuters the distinct historical and natural identity of the surrounding area.

Unpaid transfer

As the paid areas for Downtown Line platforms are not connected at this station, commuters would be charged if they tapped out of the station platform if they entered the wrong platform. Many passengers are able to travel to either Botanic Gardens or Newton as the two platforms are connected within each other.

After public concerns, the Land Transport Authority announced on December 31, 2015, on the fifth day of the free travel that there would be a 30-minute grace period for commuters to tap out and tap in again and not be charged if they entered the wrong platform starting from January 2, 2016, when fares are charged. This is one of the three MRT stations that commuters are not charged for entering and exiting at the same station gantries, the later are Kembangan and Expo for various reasons.
