Sumiyoshi Station (住吉駅, Sumiyoshi-eki) is an elevated station on the Hanshin Electric Railway main line, with trains travelling east to Hanshin's terminal in Umeda (Osaka), and west to central Kobe (Hyōgo and Sannomiya). Only local trains stop at the station, and thus passengers bound for Sannomiya or beyond would change for an Express or Limited Express at Mikage, and passengers heading for Osaka would change for a faster service at Uozaki. It is about 1 km from JR Sumiyoshi Station.

Layout

The station has two tracks and two platforms. Although the station is elevated, it has neither escalators or lifts.
