Template:Geobox Sunrise Resort State Park is a Connecticut state park occupying the site of a former resort property in the town of East Haddam.[1] The 143-acre (58 ha) property was purchased by the state in 2009 for $3.2 million.[2] After failing to find redevelopers, the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection demolished the 82 dilapidated resort buildings in 2013, allowing the land to return to its natural state. [3]

The park is bordered by the Salmon River to the west and Machimoodus State Park to the south.[4]
