Talen is a town in Madhya Pradesh.

Geography

Talen is located at 23°34′N 76°43′E / 23.57°N 76.72°E / 23.57; 76.72.[1] It has an average elevation of 428 metres (1404 feet). It comes under the dry area.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[2] Talen had a population of 9098. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Talen has an average literacy rate of 56%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 61%, and female literacy is 35%. In Talen, 20% of the population is under 6 years of age.
