I want the page moved back to the old title, which is most widely used in recent books about the Romanovs. --Bookworm857158367 (talk) 18:40, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Where did this discussion take place? Again, I disagree with using Latin forms of the name for the Romanovs. They are typically referred to by the Russian forms of the names in every bio I've seen in the last 10 years. I note that you also changed the title of the article for Ioan Konstantinovich to John Constantinovich. The body of the article refers to him by his proper name. The title is bound to be confusing to the reader. --Bookworm857158367 (talk) 00:47, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
How is it "pedantry" to refer to someone by his proper name? Ioan was his name; Konstantinovich is the more proper form of the patronymic. These are the forms used in all recent biographies of these people. --Bookworm857158367 (talk) 20:21, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: moved to Grand Duke Vyacheslav Konstantinovich of Russia as proposed. (closed by page mover) Bradv 01:33, 1 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Grand Duke Vyacheslav Constantinovich of Russia → ? – To be consistent with the existing articles about his brothers Grand Duke Nicholas Konstantinovich of Russia, Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich of Russia, and Grand Duke Dmitry Konstantinovich of Russia, and his father Grand Duke Konstantin Nikolayevich of Russia and also Grand Duke Konstantin Pavlovich of Russia it should probably be moved to "Grand Duke Vyacheslav Konstantinovich of Russia", but on the other hand the articles about his sisters are titled Olga Constantinovna of Russia and Grand Duchess Vera Constantinovna of Russia, thus I'm not sure which form of this name (Constantin or Konstantin) is more frequently used in the sources. As a result I think a general consensus is needed to determine which form has to be chosen to be used in the titles of these articles. Keivan.fTalk 07:56, 15 January 2018 (UTC) --Relisting. I support a move to Konstantinovich. The other articles should also be moved to Konstantinovna. Bookworm857158367 (talk) 18:39, 16 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
