    A. Prose quality:
    French placenames should be rendered in French, not translated. (Île de Ré, not Isle of Rhé) Watch your accents; I already added one to Grand Armée. Why is France italicized? Command, not manage.

    Not really. It sounds as if he was a very capable manager. And a lot of them made the transition from Napoleon to the Bourbons fairly seamlessly. Ney is one of the exceptions.
