@DannyS712: I'm not sure, but lean towards yes. I would want the article to provide better coverage than could be accomplished in the Board representation (computer_chess) section. I think we're almost there, but I also wish we had a few more sources on its development history and usage in chess programs. I'll keep researching, but publication norms are very different from mine so I'm a little slow having to learning where to look for these things. Also, sorry that I've been incommunicado for the last few days. The coronavirus situation in my area has escalated quickly, and I haven't had much spare time. — Wug·a·po·des 23:17, 16 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@DannyS712: The DYK check doesn't work, but article is no doubt long enough. Created in time, QPQ done, hook is interesting. Copyvio is down, but I'm assuming no issues. However, a citation is directly needed in the article for the claim "In the 0x88 board-representation the layout is spread out to cover an 8-by-16 board." Let me know with a ping when this is done. Okay, I understand about the citations. However, that's not a direct citation about the 8x16 board. We'd be making our own interpretation that that would be an 8x16 board.
