Glenn Miller's "In The Mood"
[edit]For what I can say, discogs.com is RIGHT. The Bluebird 78RPM was INDEED issued in 1939 and not 1940! Thus Glenn Miller's rendition of the tune must appear here too, next to Andy Razaf's. On the 1940 page, having the tune as a "top hit" is right too, as it took some time until the tune charted properly. But first issue was in 1939. ref: http://www.discogs.com/release/1088170 -andy 84.149.77.250 (talk) 03:30, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- It's 1939 hit, continued into 1940, so I gave it full credit, but it remains here 1940 has it's own hits Tillywilly17 (talk) 21:33, 6 July 2022 (UTC)

Blues R&B African-American Negroes Colored you get the point - Under represented on these pages-let's fix it
[edit]Billboard didn't start Harlem Hit Parade till late 1942, but that didn't stop us on Country music, so let's fill in the blanks. I got all the R&B from Whitburn's charts, (starting point), but he ignored Robert Johnson, no problem. If anybody reads this and into R&B, help out if you can, at least point out good sources and give advice. We have to stick to page format, so to elaborate on songs and artists on our list, we use links. Will need help on recording info for small indy blues labels. Here is sample for 1939 so far
