[edit]The Purdue 1968/1969 stats are incorrect. The first game of the season was at Purdue (UCLA COACH JOHN WOODEN WAS A Purdue Grad). This was the inaugural game at the “HOUSE THAT MOUNT BUILT”. Lew Alcindor (Kareem Abdul Jamar) was dominated by Chuck Bavis. The final score was a game ending half court shot by UCLA for a one point win. Ricky Mount was extraordinary using his right corner fall away jumper (if there had been a 3 point arc Mount would still hold the National Scoring Record). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:143:580:7E0:1CFC:FE1D:A586:3F7A (talk) 20:44, 13 January 2024 (UTC)
