Describing Shrikes

[edit]

I note that the TAFE constructed Shrikes are being labeled by their chassis numbers instead of their model name: NB89H. While chassis numbers are interesting to a degree, it's only worthwhile when viewed over a numbers of season and ownership can be traced. Over a single season the chassis number is not that important. It's also inconsistent with the other cars which are listed by model number. --Falcadore (talk) 07:19, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I fully agree with your thoughts on using model names rather than chassis numbers and I didn't conciously vary from that. The AMRY, www.formulaholden.com & AGP program references I used all show the "00" numbers in a way that led me to think that they were model names. GTHO (talk) 10:03, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Racing Car News also utilised the same description. The AGP program and the AMRY were both Chevron publications so it was very possibly the same writer who had written the RCN articles and the website presumably copied it onwards as well. --Falcadore (talk) 08:44, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
