1994 Stanley Cup riot

[edit]

Please capitalize the title of this article.

Added reference. It's all over Google, just grabbed one quickly. Could be better. Abu Amaal 00:26, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Robson Riot???

[edit]

Nobody who lives in and around Vancouver have ever called it "the Robson Riot", so that information is just plain wrong. It has been, always will be, and will most likely be again (once the canucks lose this round) called the Stanley Cup Riots of 1994. PompusAss (talk) 17:21, 10 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've definitely heard it referred to as the Robson Riot, that was common parlance around 1994. But I don't think it was really a riot. It was crowd control gone wrong. In comparison with what has happened recently this really doesn't seem like a riot. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.189.241.206 (talk) 21:09, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Editing Observations:

[edit]

Hi all, I am just ruminating upon the Wiki Edit Process.

Often, intrepid individuals come along and build a frame for an article, and assemble quotes and references.

The references however, being from different sources, come in a variety of styles, and get a bit chopped up out of context.

The next step, is to harmonize the writing, make sure things flow in some fashion, and tighten up all the excess words that aren't necessary.

It is an interesting process. I tend to come in at the last step, but I'm grateful to those who come before for conceiving the idea, and pulling in the references. I hope you don't mind my reworking your text. Cheers
