Team and Driver Chart Order.
[edit]User DX234 has been editing Atlantics for 2 years now, and the way its been done in the past is that you order the team by name, then the car number. The point of this is when ordering data it's easier to find and lookup the data in a table. Ordering it by car number when its not the first entry in the table just makes looking for data confusing and harder. User Cs-wolves seems to be enforcing his or her order from what he or she has done in the past elsewhere without regards to whats has been going on the past years with the yearly alantic page
Input is wanted from orther users.
- I would tend to agree that ordering alphabetically by team name is the most logical way to present the team/driver table (the way it has been done on the Atlantic pages). Ordering by car number is perhaps influenced by the F1 pages where teams are assigned concurrent numbers by the previous year's constructor championship which provides a natural ordering. If you look at the Champ Car pages you'll see that they generally stick to the F1 standard which leads to a rather bizarre situation where neither the team names nor the car numbers are really ordered (teams are ordered in the rank of their lowest car number...this really only makes sense when the champion's 1 was in use). In Atlantics we have the same general situation as in Champ Car where teams choose their own numbers thus ordering by car number is less natural except for the fact that this year we have a past champion in the field who is carrying the 1, something that hasn't happened for a long time (if ever?) in Atlantics. To sum up: don't see why we need to change things up this year. Apmiller (talk) 03:57, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
