Draft Grid

[edit]

I wanted to get other users feelings on the draft grid. The 49ers page leaves picks that they trade away rather than just note them in the trades (see below). I kind of like it because some trades don't involve later picks in that years draft and this seems like a good way to get the full picture of the draft. Thoughts?

Draft order Player name Position Height Weight College Contract Notes

1 11 11 Anthony Davis T 6 ft 5 in 323 lb Rutgers From Denver Broncos

Yeah, I quite like that too. What about picks that the team receives and then trades away without using though? – PeeJay 10:24, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That gets a little "busier" but I think you would include them so everyone would see the whole picture. Below is last years 49ers draft with both examples. – Dabullzrule (talk) 17:14, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, that's not too busy. Only a couple more rows. Make it so! – PeeJay 18:44, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Salary Cap

[edit]

I was thinking of doing a section on contracts and their affects on future salary caps (on the main Vikings page or possibly a whole new page) but wanted to see what other users thought. I like the collapsable table but wish you could have multiple collapsible links in a table (rather than creating more tables). Any suggestions? Dabullzrule (talk) 04:26, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It's a little bit crufty, in my opinion. No one really needs to know how much the players are earning, and for a roster of 53 players, it would take up a lot of room. – PeeJay 22:18, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Restructured Contracts

[edit]

Do we include restructured contracts (IE Johh Carlson, Kevin Williams, etc) under "Re-signings" since it is a new contract or just ignore them? Dabullzrule (talk) 04:58, 27 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think we should leave them. Re-signings, I believe, is for players whose contracts had actually expired (or were on the verge of expiring) and could have left the team for free. – PeeJay 15:45, 27 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
