lineage
[edit]Maybe I was wrong. 616th took over 624th job, but unsure if was redesignation. This just says Activation ceremony. https://www.acc.af.mil/News/Photos/igphoto/2002267156/ Pmsyyz (talk) 02:14, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
- It's definitely going to be difficult to figure out either way until we get a current lineage document for the 616th. Question is what the best course of action is going to be until then. – Recoil (talk) 09:25, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
- Actually, reading this article, it reads "The activation concluded with the unfurling of the 616th OC flag and activation of the newly formed 616th OC" (emphasis mine), it does not say "redesignation" and I think "newly formed" is very important here. Therefore I think we should consider moving the article back to its previous 624th location. – Recoil (talk) 09:38, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
- Okay, this pushes it over the edge for me: The video of the activation ceremony of the 616th Operations Center also includes the inactivation ceremonies of the 624th and 625th (starting with the 624th at 33:18). I will modify the article back to where it is just about the 624th and then move it back tonight or tomorrow barring any objections. – Recoil (talk) 10:05, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
- Have listed it at WP:RM/TR. – Recoil (talk) 20:46, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
