Excessive exhibitions lists

[edit]

As explicitly stated in the Manual of Style, long lists of exhibitions are to be avoided in artist biographies. Wikipedia not a substitute for an artist's resumé or an academic monograph on the subject. @Kiranslomka2, please refrain from re-adding the exhaustive list, it does not belong in the article. You are more than welcome to use independent, reliable sources to write information about the artist's exhibitions - what did he show, what did it look like, how was it received, etc. - in prose form, but exhaustive lists are not useful for readers, especially those sourced with almost exclusively links to gallery websites (which are not useful for establishing notability).

The Manual of Style lays out a wide range of helpful guidelines for editing. Feel free to read through it and get a better sense of how to format and write articles on art-related subjects in the style of Wikipedia. Thank you! 19h00s (talk) 22:12, 22 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
