448% rates increase - source?

Between 1931 and 1939, ASCAP increased royalty rates charged to broadcasters some 448%.

I came to this article from Lawrence Lessig's TED talk. He mentions a more than 400% increase, and that's the only citation. It's not so reliable, as all he shows is a graph with no references. It's also the only source for the same claim in American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. I've left a message there as well. Y. Dongchen (talk) 11:05, 30 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
