A couple of edits made by an anonymous Frenchie read like this, fwiw. I reverted them (and I apologise for the conspicuous lack of Wikipedia culture in my countrymen).

La description de la coopération des USA et de la France à cette période et qui est décrite dans ce paragraphe est fallacieuse. Bank a méprisé les français en répandant des rumeurs contre eux, il a même refusé d'intervenir lorsque des japonais ont assassiné un officier français sans arme alors qu'il aurait put très bien le faire. A cette époque Bank a soutenu les mouvements indépendantistes laotiens proches du Vietminh en lieu et place des mouvements indépendantistes démocratiques

I was looking for Aaron Banks, New york based martial arts promoter/practitioner who brought karate tournaments to mainstream television.
