Abby Hatcher, Fuzzly CatcherAbby Hatcher – The trailer released today only refers to the show as Abby Hatcher both spoken and in the logo. It seems the show title was simplified in the intervening time Fradio71 (talk) 04:29, 14 December 2018 (UTC) --Relisting. bd2412 T 18:22, 25 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • It's now official. Recently, Nick released an episode early on digital platforms using the current title. Keylonrocks7356 (talk) 20:59, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Though the previous comment says "current title," it appears to mean "proposed title," so this seems to be in support of the move. Dekimasuよ! 23:02, 30 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"-like"[edit]

It is best to add "-like" in the description of the Fuzzlies as the Fuzzlies have some resemblance to some animals without being those animals. 172.250.44.165 (talk) 02:18, 6 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It is not "best" to add "-like". Other options might be to rephrase the wording to "who resembles a ___", or omitting the in-universe descriptions because they rely on editors' conclusions of similarity. You and whomever keeps removing this content should hash this out, but you should be aware that we strive for a professional tone even in kids' TV articles. Excessive reliance on "rabbit-like", "slug-like", "red raspberry-like", "cat-like", "toy-like creatures", "detective-like skills", "watch-like communicating device gadget right on her wrist", "goo-like string", "quail-like feather" do not even come close to proper tone. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 00:50, 7 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I guess using "-like" maybe too much in some cases, but can we use it in just describing the appearance of the characters? It's simpler that way. 172.250.44.165 (talk) 02:44, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Why don't you find other ways to describe the appearances? Or omit the appearances entirely since they can be observed by anybody watching the show. Much of the content in the character descriptions are totally unnecessary. We don't need to describe every colour or hairstyle or random pieces of information that aren't key to our understanding of who the characters are. If a character said they liked to dance in one episode, that doesn't mean we need to include that, since it wasn't a repeating characteristic. In the article on Seinfeld, we don't describe Kramer as a white-skinned hipster-like neighbor who likes to clean freeways. Point being: There's far too much fancruft in the article and it needs to be improved, not constantly reverted to lesser-quality states. If a character doesn't directly equate to a specific earth animal, then we don't have to speculate about it, we can just not describe it. Speculation is probelmatic because it constitutes editors' opinions, which we are not interested in. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:10, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
A "white-skinned hipster" sounds like a typical character of any show, thus it doesn't seem to sound very distinct. By contrast, the Fuzzlies are creatures with odd appearances which makes them very distinct. 172.250.44.165 (talk) 17:58, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I believe the IPs that repeatedly remove stuff are the ones being disruptive as they never give a reason for doing so. As for myself, all I want is to add things that define the characters. True, some of the stuff I put in descriptions maybe just my interpretations, but no one seems to object. The fact that the removing IPs all come from the UK suggest they all come from an individual who's the only one objecting. But because that individual never explains his edits in summary, I don't think his removals are merit. Rattatast (talk) 04:28, 9 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
And I believe both of you are being disruptive since there are obviously other ways to approach this content and make it consistent with MOS:TV guidelines. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 06:18, 9 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The appearances of the characters can be observed by those who watch the show. True. But there are those who are interested in reading articles here but have no intent in watching the show. Therefore, it's still necessary to describe them. 172.250.44.165 (talk) 03:32, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Abby Hatcher is American[edit]

ABBY HATCHER IS AMERICAN, NOT CANADIAN!! WHY CANT I EDIT THIS PAGE THAT IS ABOUT A SHOW TAKES PLACE IN AMERICA AND AN AMERICAN LITTLE GIRL NAMED ABBY HATCHER WHO HATES THE SHOW "MAGGIE AND THE FEROCIOUS BEAST" AND LIKES THE SHOW AND MOVIE "JIMMY NEUTRON: BOY GENIUS?" Trusta Mann (talk) 22:31, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Trusta Mann: Clearly isn't. Canadian voice actors, produced in Canada, etcetra, etrcetra. Ed6767 (talk) 22:33, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I live in Canada where I couldn't get Abby Hatcher until 2019. The premier only happened in the United States in 2018. Trusta Mann (talk) 19:23, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Trusta Mann: Same thing with "True and the Rainbow Kingdom" which premiered internationally on Netflix in August 2017 but didn't come out in Canada until February 2018 when the French dub of the show premiered on Ici Radio-Canada Télé, the original English version wasn't available in Canada until it premiered on CBC in March of that same year. You say T&RK is a Canadian show, but the idea of the show was created by an American artist duo (FriendsWithYou) and an American TV producer (Bill Schultz), sure, a Canadian animation studio works on the show (Which is actually the same one that animates Abby Hatcher) and the voice actors are Canadian, but there are MANY American shows that are animated in Canada, filmed in Canada, and have Canadian actors, but that doesn't really make them Canadian, as an example, "The Loud House" is an American show that's animated by Jam Filled, a Canadian animation studio, but the show was created by Chris Savino, an American, would you really call "The Loud House" a Canadian show? BlueApple1234 (talk) 02:54, 15 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, Abby hates being called a Canadian. Trusta Mann (talk) 01:09, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Melvin is not voiced by Christian Campbell[edit]

The Wikipedia article has been wrong for a while. Melvin is voiced by a child actor named Jonathan Campbell. I can't believe people fell for it. Here is Christian Campbell's voice, [1] and there is Melvin's voice. [2] That is not the same person.98.19.239.130 (talk) 16:15, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe. But if you look at the series' end credits, it is stated that Melvin is voiced by someone named Christian Campbell. 172.250.44.165 (talk) 18:11, 30 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The Squeaky Peepers[edit]

Over the years, users have insisted that the Squeaky Peepers are voiced by someone named Kate Miller. However, whoever voiced them is never credited in the show. Does anyone know a link to confirm this? Red White Blue and Yellow (talk) 16:13, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
