See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wahhabism Ibadi Movement. The article about the movement this gentleman is credited with founding was deleted because, according to MezzoMezzo, "the Rustamid dynasty rose and fell 1,000 years before Wahhabism even existed." Indeed, Rustamid dynasty says it lasted from 777 - 909, while the Wahhabism article says its founder was born in 1702. TimTempleton (talk) (cont) 00:22, 8 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Timtempleton: I removed the junk from the article. There was a sub-sect called al-Ibadiyya al-Wahbiyya, a branch of the Ibadi Islam. It was the most important of all ibadi subdivisions. Two theories were proposed for the name of this sub-sect: 1. Ibadis' support of Abd al-Wahhab ibn Abd al-Rahman 2. Traces its origin to Abd Allah ibn Wahb al-Rasibi. In a way, "Wahbi" became synonymous with "Ibadi" in the later maghrebi-based ibadi historiography.
