Irish aboyne dress?

[edit]

I don't think Aboyne dresses are Irish too. Are they? :/ Angie Y. (talk) 23:45, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly in Northern Ireland only.--86.25.2.224 (talk) 15:07, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Societal effect?

[edit]

I have not had the time to explore the posit that its introduction was due to a post-WW2 sentiment of women returning to the domestic environment from working in industry, in other words, women should be feminine. This was suggested in one letter.[1] Q8682 (talk) 03:00, 29 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Actually a dress?
