The result of the move request was: move the page to Aisha (given name) at this time, per the discussion below. Dekimasuよ! 04:59, 28 December 2019 (UTC)
A'isha (name) → Aisha (name) – Move to page title without diacritics, consistent with Aisha. Listing as a requested Move rather than doing it boldly in case it's at all controversial. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 15:28, 18 December 2019 (UTC)—Relisting. DannyS712 (talk) 19:37, 25 December 2019 (UTC)
- Support per nomination. There is no indication that the given name, as transliterated into English, contains the diacritic. Not a single entry among those listed at A'isha (name) includes the diacritic and a concurrent nomination (Talk:A`isha#Requested move 18 December 2019) is focused upon moving A'isha → Aisha (1953 film). —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 18:55, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
- Move to Aisha (given name) per WP:APOAT. Steel1943 (talk) 13:50, 21 December 2019 (UTC)
- Relisting note (name) or (given name)? --DannyS712 (talk) 19:37, 25 December 2019 (UTC)
- Steel1943 is right: it should be (given name). Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 21:54, 26 December 2019 (UTC)

Question about Arabic spelling with th- in the end???
[edit]عائشة ends in ة that is, a tha, not a ha. As Wiktionary says: ة (تَاء مَرْبُوطَة (tāʾ marbūṭa)) ة (tāʾ marbūṭa) is a variant of the letter ت (tāʾ) used at the end of words. It is formed from the letter ه (hāʾ) with the addition of the two overdots of ت (tāʾ). Without those two dots it would be a ha. So what is wrong here? Why is it not pronounced 'Aishath? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gschadow (talk • contribs) 18:37, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
