Liquefaction

[edit]

It says in the article: "stone columns underneath the tunnel to prevent soil liquefaction during an earthquake" It's not my understanding that measures like this prevent liquefaction; I understand that such measures get employed so that the structure would withstand the effects of liquefaction. Can I suggest to the author to go back to the source to verify this? And if the source says this, I'd relay that question to forum of knowledgeable people (I'm sure that there would be a workgroup for earthquakes somewhere, or geologists, or structural engineers). Changed it. Thank you for pointing that out. Athenean (talk) 05:33, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No pedestrians and bicycle allowed

[edit]

You wrote: "and a 1.3 metre wide pedestrian sidewalk in each direction." But you actually can't walk or ride by bike (I tried today: 31.7.2024). You must get a cab (20~25 EUR) or Bus (~3 EUR; bicycle 5 EUR extra) to the airport (Aktio side). 79.129.2.212 (talk) 14:28, 31 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
