South Africa did not exist when he was born

In 1894 when he was born there was a "South African Republic", but it was the area that would later be Transvaal Territory. There was also the Colony of Natal, Cape Colony and the Orange Free State. We need to find sourcing and specify in which area he was actually born. Actually Zululand remained a seperate entity until 1897. Actually British Bechuanaland was also still a colony in 1894, but the next year it would be merged into Cape Colony.
