Sources of information and images for ABG
[edit]Gould was a mathematician, not principally an historian as described in the current version of the article. Some sources that could be used to expand this page:
- Deborah Kent, 2012
- The Alice Bache Gould papers
- Some specific dates and details gathered at the Cambridge Women's Heritage Project
- History of Mathematics at St Andrews
- She was the first female member of the Colonial Society
There's also relevant details in current reference #3.
Photos of her that would be included in Wikimedia Commons are almost certainly available here, if someone put in a request.

Square... or street?
[edit]Google Maps cant find a square named after her, but there is a "Calle Alicia B Gould" in Simancas.
But Calle = Street, not Square. (And by Google Maps, it certainly looks like a street more than a square. Unfortunately, Streetview isn't available, so...)
Could someone with better access to local data confirm that the ... thing named after her was a square, rather than a street? (The part of town could have been rebuilt) CapnZapp (talk) 12:40, 22 April 2016 (UTC)
Was she in Spain long enough to count as an American expatriate in Spain?
[edit]Was she in Spain long enough to be placed in Category:American expatriates in Spain? John Pack Lambert (talk) 19:29, 10 May 2023 (UTC)
