Pronunciation[edit]

How do you pronounce this town - ALL-STEAD or AL-STEAD? 65.220.91.170 02:21, 12 October 2005

Natives say "AL-STEAD" as if it were short for Al's Homestead. 70.41.157.114 13:26, 2 February 2006
I heard on Fritz Weatherbee's New Hampshire that it was pronounced "owlstead", although I forget when that was. Cooljeanius 20:21, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
