Did you know... that the recent popularity of Amish romance novels has been seen as a reaction to the increasing popularity of erotic fiction such as Fifty Shades of Grey?
Perhaps i've fallen for a shuck or hoax (2 flavors of jive, i should guess) but in any case i'm at worst fascinated by our species's endless creativity. "Never in my wildest...." Someone less gobsmacked than i could add some refs supporting the reality of the genre. (All i did is apply one of the two conventions known among people for whom clear communication is a higher value than proving wrong the values of people who "don't smoke the same cigarettes as me", for identifying situations where one is quoting someone who quoted athird party, asopposed to quoting one remark, finishing with that, and then quoting a separate remark.... I 'spose denying the nature of one's species is an all-consuming task leaving little energy for rational thot, so it's all just a matter of conflict between incompatible cultures.... --Jerzy•t 02:11, 6 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
