I gladly defer to the more seasoned Wiki veterans out there. But there are no copyright infringements and the subject is a noted artist. This would seem to be sufficient. Also, I was planning on doing a page about one of the best alternative periodicals in the U.S. called "The Espresso" (circulation, 60k), should i hold off? I think these are all worthy subjects. • Please reqad WP:BIO for an idea of how we measure the notability of individuals for articles. The requires sources need to be secondary sources per WP:RS that discuss the subject in detail. You need to find some sources that meet this if you want to prevent the article being deleted. If there is press coverage, we need either a link to the online version or a citation of the date and page of the paper the article was on so that we check it. If you work through this with this article then you will understand how the system works and your next article will be easier to work through. if you want some help you can either leave a message on my talk page (click the work humbug in my signature) or stick a {{helpme}} on your user page and someone will be along to assist. Good luck Spartaz Humbug! 19:55, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • My CSD tag was, in retrospect, incorrect. I've done a bit of research and I think this article is notable certainly enough to survive speedy deletion (CSD), and probably enough to survive a normal deletion (Afd). Part of why these kinds of articles meet the skepticism they do is because every individual artist group, whether bands, authors, or fine-artists, tend to put up a page. For those reasons it does in particular need some fully cited references. I'll try to add some as possible, but as always, experts on the topic are in a better position to add information.
