Criticism and BLP issues
[edit]Two cherry picked sources are not enough to say that Plenković is criticized for "supporting radical nationalists and war criminals". The two references are not even talking about both of these claims. The Der Spiegel article is an opinion editorial, it says in one part: "These elections are not good for Bosnian Croats, claims Prime Minister Plenkovic. He intends to continue to support the direction of radical nationalists". Apart from being largely speculative (the author somehow knows his intentions), it's a very dubious conclusion that a statement how "these elections are not good for Bosnian Croats" is a "support of radical nationalists". The way in which Željko Komšić was elected was also criticized by other politicians, such as the former President Ivo Josipović.[1] [2]
The 2nd reference from The Guardian is also very speculative, claiming that his statement is "believed to be the first declaration by the head of an EU government in support of a convicted war criminal". That is the only international source out of dozens on the same event implying that his statement was a "support of a convicted war criminal". Plenković merely expressed his dissatisfaction with a part of the verdict, and also expressed "regrets and condolences very clearly for all the victims of the crimes mentioned in this verdict".
For example, this article from the Foreign Affairs says a completely different thing regarding Plenković's foreign policy. Anyway, the section about foreign policy already coveres both Plenković's statements and of those involved in an event on the other side. This is a biography of a living person, not a repository of single-source (alleged) criticism. Tzowu (talk) 18:01, 17 April 2019 (UTC)
