Wikibook[edit]

I am working on developing a Wikibook on Announcing at wikibooks.org [1]. As this project develops, I would think that some of the content of the wikibook might be useful in expanding this article. Is there anyone out there who might volunteer to help in this effort?

Also, if there are any professional announcers who might be interested in contributing to this wikibook, please do so. I've already enlisted the aid of some of my former students who work in the profession, and would very much like to encourage more people to contribute.

Well, it's been almost ten years since I wrote on this talk page. Are there no professional announcers out there that would be willing to contribute? Or just none that see this talk page?

Merger proposal[edit]

Continuity announcer is just a two-line stub which serves to define the term, and offers no substance or sourcing to demonstrate why it would need its own separate article. Accordingly, it should be merged here, and noted in this article as one possible type of announcer — but there's no evidence being shown that it needs a standalone article about it as a separate topic from this. As I said on Talk:Continuity announcer, I think a merge, if one should be made, should rather be with Continuity (broadcasting). What do you think about that? Boot Blues (talk) 23:43, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Radio[edit]

The description under the subsection Radio is that of a DJ. A radio announcer is not just a DJ. 31.52.255.37 (talk) 18:32, 30 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
