Ft. Grant location?
[edit]I believe old Ft. Grant was at or near the site of the present Federal prison-camp -- do you have a source? Pete Tillman 17:56, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- Here's the ref: http://www.azcorrections.gov/prisons/ftgt-his.htm "In December of 1997, the Arizona State Prison at Fort Grant became the Fort Grant Unit of the Arizona State Prison Complex Safford." It's on the west side of Mt. Graham, about 20 mi SE of the Wilderness. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tillman (talk • contribs) 21:20, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, you meant the original Camp Grant. This was near the confluence of Arivaca Creek with the San Pedro river, about 15 mi. SW of the Wilderness. I've corrected the article. Pete Tillman (talk) 21:30, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
