Arthur Cassini
[edit]I have tried to correct the date of the death of Cassini's death after reading his daughter's memoirs. My correction does not seem to go through. Perplexed. Bobba mot (talk) 21:01, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
- Bobba mot wrote in the Wikipedia sandbox: Gross error in date of death. Can't seem to make my change of his date age of death stick. It's in his daughter's memoirs: he died at age 83 in 1919 and NOT IN 1913 AT AGE 77 as your article points out.I tried to it does want to take these dates. [reformed for spelling] I am not vouchsafing for what he said, but I think someone should research and tend to it. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 03:37, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
'dissuade', not 'assuage'
[edit]I imagine the Chinese foreign office tried to dissuade him (change his mind) rather than assuage him (make him feel better about something negative). --142.163.194.167 (talk) 16:21, 19 April 2021 (UTC)
'mendacity'?
[edit]'...the Count was not popular with, or trusted by, the President and went to great lengths to defend his Government's actions with both the administration and press. Indeed, Cassini's mendacity on occasion resulted in direct friction with the White House.` the footnote doesn`t help. So he was a liar? Unclear what the intent of "Indeed" is. --142.163.194.167 (talk) 16:30, 19 April 2021 (UTC)
