B class
[edit]This isn't too are off B class. The following improvements would be necessary:
- The lead, which ought to summarise the article, needs to be longer.
- Attend to the "citation needed" tags.
- Needs something on governance, at least the present arrangement (CEO and chairperson). Would be good to have these go back over time.
I hope that's helpful. Schwede66 09:34, 22 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Schwede66: Thanks for the feedback - I will attend to those points. I have one related query about content in the lead. Is is OK to have general statements that are not specifically supported with inline citations in the lead, but are supported by detail in the main body ? If so, then amongst other changes, I would relocate this overview sentence (or something along these lines) to the lead, but not add inline citation: "In the period 2013 to 2020, there were multiple criticisms of Aurora Energy for poor network reliability, creating safety hazards for workers and the public, historic under-investment, and the need for large price increases to fund the renewal of ageing assets" Marshelec (talk) 00:41, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, that is how it's done. The body of the article ought to be properly referenced and if the lead is a proper summary, then there is no need for any references in the lead. The only exception to that is a biography of a living person, where controversial statements in the lead always require an inline reference even if it's also referenced in the body. - Just wondering whether you still want to expand the lead. Schwede66 05:23, 6 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Schwede66: Hi. Over the last couple of months I have brought this article up to date with the final outcome of the Commerce Commission regulatory determination and the resulting network pricing. I have expanded the lead, and have now also brought the table of network statistics up to date. A couple of photos have also been added, taken by User:DrThneed. How is the article looking now ? - Excellent work! I noticed that in the lead where you talk about the area of distribution, "Queenstown-Lakes" points to Queenstown, New Zealand when really it should point to Queenstown-Lakes District. Wanaka is located in that district, hence should not receive a special mention. Beyond that, I recommend that you put this up for GA review. Schwede66 22:04, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
