Vandalism

[edit]

Repeated vandalism from 204.79.90.85

The last alterations of the article are part of a hoax. Axel Kahn has never worked on the structure of DNA or RNA interference, as can be easily found on PubMed. In addition, he has never been called the father of french genetics, which is obviously a joke. All this indicate an intent to deceive by anon who put these alterations. I revert to a previous version that seems OK.
Repeated attempts to put back this hoax. Reverted.
Vandalism again and hoax. Reverted.
User IP 204.79.90.85 must be blocked.
Vandalism again by IP 204.79.90.85, who has put an article in french !!!! about defamation. Although Axel Kahn has been accused of slandering by several colleagues, there is no web link that IP 204.79.90.85 can use as a reference. Moreover, the article quotes Jean-François Kahn , Axel Kahn’s brother for being involved in some kind of slandering. Axel Kahn cannot be held responsible for the acts of his brother. I revert to the previous version and request IP 204.79.90.85 to be blocked.
Arasaft has deleted again part of the article. When I say again, that’s because it seems highly likely that Arasaft is the same individual as IP 204.79.90.85, since both (!) have made contributions to the same article on an almost complete unknown (Sabine Herold ; see contribs). Interestingly enough, IP 204.79.90.85 had exactly the same behavior on this other article : « THis article is nearly half false! All I deleted was fake. Concerning the rest, it would be better to check the French version) ». A google search on IP 204.79.90.85 indicates that he’s already known on the french wikipedia as Bombastus or Hayek, and that he uses many other pseudos. Reverted.
Arasaft again!!!

Humanist

[edit]

I have changed the sentence " Axel Kahn is a humanist" to "Axel Kahn refers to him as a humanist". This is more compatible with his communist (pro-stalinian) past. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.57.239.46 (talk) 12:41, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not a Professor ?

[edit]

I've checked the given reference supposed to substantiate that claim, but it doesn't mention anything about his being or not a "professor" (recognized as such by the French ranking system). In fact, the linked doc is a letter which he signs "Pr Kahn".

Whoever wrote the claim: please, either substantiate it, or reformulate your sentence. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.72.93.5 (talk) 04:48, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He has his CV on the web: http://www.futura-sciences.com/fr/comprendre/carte-blanche/scientifique/t/vie-2/d/kahn_13/. No mention of professorship. Actually, it’s well known among french scientists that his use of the title of professor is to say the least unappropriate. The funny thing is that his major topic in the french TV is ethics, while there is strong evidence for forgery and bribery (see the Rhône-Poulenc case) against him. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bbabebibobu (talkcontribs) 08:04, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

All links mentioned here and in the article to support the claim that A Kahn is not professor are either broken or do not substantiate the claim. I'm removing it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.108.140.155 (talk) 20:03, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Try the following links, which are working: http://209.85.135.104/search?q=cache:rOofki4NAVMJ:www.enstimac.fr/outils/documents_agenda/cv_axel_kahn/downloadFile/file/CV_AK.doc%3Fnocache%3D1118216679.7+axel+kahn+CV&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1

http://www.enstimac.fr/sections/outils/documents_agenda/cv_axel_kahn . I put the sentence back. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nomdunepipe (talkcontribs) 16:33, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Given this OECD reference above, I remove the Not a Professor. Slb 21:01, 4 March 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Slb (talkcontribs)

Libelous shill accusations

[edit]

I'm removing the obvious defamatory statement in the introductory text: "According to the journalist Hervé Kempf, he was paid by the company Rhône-Poulenc after having supported GMC culture in France.[1] Rhône-Poulenc was then the company pushing hardest for GM crops to be grown in France." The journalist merely state that A. Kahn obtained a position at Rhone Poulenc, but it was not during his position in the government body working on GM crops. Not only the sentence grossly misrepresent the facts, but it is obviously not in the summary that such a topic should be covered, and if so with objective facts, not slander. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Slb (talkcontribs) 21:12, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
