Proposed expansion of parts of the proposed law[edit]

General Provisions - defines the nature and purpose of the proposed Bangsamoro Basic, the process by which it shall become a law, and the key principles and policies that govern it.
Bangsamoro Identity - delineates the term "bangsamoro people" and recognizes the other inhabitants of the autonomous region; guarantees the rights of migrant settlers and indigenous peoples, and additionally guarantees the rights and welfare of the women and children, as well as labor rights, in the proposed region; and creates a mechanism to resolve complaintsfor human rights violations in region.
Bangsamoro territory - clearly defines the Bangsamoro territory as part of the Philippines, delineates what is and included in the Bangsamoro territory; delineates core territory of the Bangsamoro; and delineates Bangsamoro waters.
Political Autonomy and Bangsamoro Government - Expounds on the legal basis for the grant of political autonomy and the establishment of the Bangsamoro Government; makes way for a parliamentary system of government within the autonomous region and establishes the legality of that form within the framework of the Philippine legal system; defines the role of political parties under the ministerial and parliamentary system; creates Bangsamoro Electoral Office and delineates its composition and functions; and delineates the composition of the Bangsamoro Parliament, and the method by which parliamentarians are chosen.
Inter-Governmental Relations - Describes the relationship between the Bangsamoro and Central Governments; expounds on the meaning of "parity of esteem" which is the guiding principle in the relations between the Central Government and the Bangsamoro; delineates the “reserved powers” of the Central government; delineates the “concurrent powers” shared by the Central Government and the Bangsamoro Government; delineates the “exclusive powers” of the Bangsamoro Government and expounds on the legal basis for the exclusive powers of the Bangsamoro Government; expounds on how greater coordination and harmonious relations between the Central Government and the Bangsamoro will be realized under the proposed BBL; defines the role of LGUs in the Bangsamoro and the relationship between the Bangsamoro government and its constituent local government units (LGUs); — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.92.128.134 (talk) 04:54, 5 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
