Will look at this over the weekend. Hog Farm Talk 04:03, 29 October 2021 (UTC)
Hectic couple days, just now getting to this.
- I think the operations section would be improved with some context as to the goals of the Atlanta Campaign
- Done You're correct, that's needed. Added 2 sentences at the start of Operations explaining objectives.
- Is Simonsen or Simonson the correct spelling for the artillery officer? Both are used
- Done Good catch. It's Simonson.
- Are Union casualties for Latimer's Farm known?
- My sources don't give any Union casualties, only Confederate.
- Where are the casualty figures in the infobox coming from? I see at least 320 Confederates given in the infobox, while the body of the article seems to establish 250 at Gilgal Church and 200 at Latimer's Farm
- Done See how I've changed the infobox casualties. Also see note 1. The capture of 320 Confederates was in a separate action, so it's not included in Gilgal Church. If you have another suggestion for showing this data, please let me know.
- Sources are all reliable enough for what they are citing
- General comment: This was a series of skirmishes over June 10-19, 1864 that were fought in the same geographical area. I tried to mush them all together under one heading and Gilgal Church seemed most convenient since that action had the highest casualties. Clearly, there were sporadic losses along the entire front every day, but only the major clashes are mentioned.
Good work on this one, placing on hold. Hog Farm Talk 02:53, 31 October 2021 (UTC)
