Spouse

[edit]

Regarding this edit: if the spouse is not notable enough for an article, that does not mean we should be adding in information about her early life and family history here. This material is not relevant to understanding the subject of this article. We're not a genealogy website. Nikkimaria (talk) 01:38, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Nikkimaria: I can accept your point for the sentence about his father-in-law immigrating from the Russian Empire, but strongly disagree about his wife's birth date and the names of her parents. They are facts that pertain directly to his personal life. In your previous edit, you deleted her death date as well, even though that is clearly pertinent to his personal life since she died before him. Such spouse details are commonly provided throughout Wikipedia. Websurfer2 (talk) 01:27, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Why do you believe the wife's birth date and the names of his parents would be significant to readers of this article? What do they tell us about him? The fact that other stuff exists doesn't make it the best approach. Nikkimaria (talk) 01:33, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
