General: Article is new enough and long enough

Policy compliance:

  • Adequate sourcing: Yes
  • Neutral: Yes
  • Free of copyright violations, plagiarism, and close paraphrasing: No - Bohnett Foundation, along with the Gill Foundation, partnered with the Biden Foundation and the YMCA in a joint three-year effort to foster LGBTQ inclusion and equity at YMCA locations nationwide. throws copyvio. Also, is Nonprofit Quarterly a reliable enough source to demonstrate a need for inclusion?

Hook eligibility:

  • Cited: Yes
  • Interesting: No - I think ALT0a works better, but it'll need a new reviewer. Not particularly a fan of ALT1, it's a little contrived and requires some in-depth knowledge of U.S. presidential politics.
QPQ: Done.

Overall: Nice job, Wasted Time R! Almost there :) theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/they) 05:09, 29 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Theleekycauldron: Thanks very much for the review (and thanks to User:Sammi Brie for reviewing an ALT). To be honest, I don't see the copyvio here. The source has "But now, the YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association) is stepping forward with the Biden Foundation to announce a three-year program to boost LGBTQ inclusion in programs throughout the nation." in one place, "Funding from the Gill Foundation and the David Bohnett Foundation will help support the initiative." in another place, and the notion of 'equity' is implied throughout. It seems to me that the paraphrasing here is adequate and that nothing is copied. As for the source itself, I didn't find any discussion of them in WP:RSN, but per the Nonprofit Quarterly article they seem pretty well established. @Wasted Time R: Are you sure? Because Earwig is giving me "The Biden Foundation and YMCA of the USA... today announced a joint three-year effort to foster LGBTQ inclusion and equity at YMCA locations nationwide". theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/they) 08:54, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Theleekycauldron: Ah, I see what happened here. I copied this text in from the David Bohnett article, where it was cited to both Nonprofit Quarterly and a press release. I ignored and dropped the press release, checked the text against the Nonprofit Quarterly piece and saw that it was okay, and went with that. But the text is in fact copied from the press release. I have now reworked the text here to avoid the copyvio (and I have also done rephrasing at the Bohnett article). Wasted Time R (talk) 10:56, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
good to go with ALT0a (relying on Sammi's tick), then! Nice work :) theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/they) 02:03, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
