Break-in[edit]

Didn't a member of the public break in to the garden in this series and Endemol cut the live feed and never mentioned it? Or was this in a another series?--Darrelljon 22:11, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That was BB2. Jess Cully 18:25, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No, Darrelljon is right, footage can be here 82.16.7.63 02:59, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Links[edit]

None of the links to housemates work.--Darrelljon 18:21, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That's because there's no housemate sections yet :) -- 9cds(talk) 19:59, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jonny in British Gas advert[edit]

Has anyone noticed a geordie engineer in the lastest british gas homecare advert who i'm sure is Jonny from BB3? I thought he used to be a fireman?

(From nominations table article)[edit]

I made this. -- AnemoneProjectors (talk) 15:03, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Section on Jade[edit]

The entire section on Jade includes no proper citation. It's also very lengthy and to that end appears biased. There may be a need for a 'Jade' section as she acheived her notoriety from this series of big brother (and is doubtlessly one of the most famous contestants ever), but based on conjecture, hearsay, and without citation most of this section of the article seems unnecessary and needlessly negative. Harveymuso 02:40, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. In fact, the whole article needs citations not just the section on Jade. Tra (Talk) 11:51, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think it was written by an anti-Jade person. — AnemoneProjectors (talk) 12:34, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've cut down a few of the POV comments. Tra (Talk) 15:23, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, cos I'm a wikipediaNOOB, but this still doesn't seem right. As there will be many more people visiting this page than normal, I think it's right that it is corrected. I've copied the section I disagree with below with some attempts at annotation (all in bold) :-

Jade Goody was involved in bullying fellow housemate Sophie Pritchard.

Who else was involved? Why are they not mentioned? Citation?

Jade later told Sophie it was because she was quiet and should have stood up for herself, blaming Sophie herself for her own bullying.

This is essentially true to my recollection, but surely needs more elaboration/citation to be wikified.

This led tabloid newspapers to report Jade negatively. However the week that she was nominated by every other housemate for eviction, one tabloid (The Sun, July 7th 2002) claimed that Jade was being portrayed differently on the nightly edited highlights programme, and that fellow nominee Adele was being made to look much worse by comparison.

From my recollection, true enough, but needs definitive citation. It's also worth remembering that at that point The Sun was the pro BB paper (as opposed to the mirror). I don't know what can be gained from that in a wikipedia way, just putting it out there. (ducks)

However, this was denied by a spokeswoman for Channel 4.

Citation

Despite all this Goody enjoyed considerable success as a public personality after the end of the series, admitting in Sky One's show Why reality TV is good for you that she is a millionairess.

I really do feel that if there is to be an extensive section on Jade like this, there should be sections to reflect on the other contestants in the show. As Jade acheived her fame in BB, it seems obvious to me that the other contestants played a part in that, and should somehow be noted (if only with direct relevance to Jade) on this page.

Sorry if I'm a wikipain, only trying to help. This is the only series of BB I watched in absolute totality. I slept when they slept, and awoke when they did. I'm bound to be biased (as a viewer) but I feel I can offer something to this article and I hope I have with my comments above.Harveymuso 00:14, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your comments! Unfortunately, as it was so long ago, a lot of people will not remember exactly what happened and I personally did not see that series at all. Therefore, it would be hard to find where there would be relevant citations and events in the house that backed up the statements in the article, and probably even harder to know what happened with the other contestants. Since you watched the series, you might find it easier to know where to look. If it helps, there's some good archives available here and here if you're willing to see what you can find. Fair use rationale for Image:Big Brother UK 3 logo.gif[edit]

Image:Big Brother UK 3 logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 01:25, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Other housemates[edit]

Why is there only sections on Jade Kate & Alex?--Hiltonhampton 15:24, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Probably because nobody remembers the others :) — AnemoneProjectors (会話) 15:29, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup[edit]

This page is in desparate need of a clean up. It needs, citation, housemate sections & the trivia section needs to be removed & merged.--Hiltonhampton 12:11, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The entire page needs a re-write. It almost certainly needs a complete grammatical overhaul - was the person who wrote it fourteen? Articles like this have no place on Wikipedia without a full and comprehensive content. I see none of that here. Worley-d (talk) 07:26, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Upgraded to C-Class[edit]

I have upgraded this article to C-Class as it meets the criteria, the article has a good amount of information but not enough yet for B-Class. More reliable sources and cleaning up would be good to improve the article. ♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 22:05, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Survived Section"[edit]

Is there anyway the Nominations Table could be tidied up to match the other series as at the moment Big Brother 3 and Big Brother 13 both have the "Survived" section underneath the housemates as I currently do not know how to sort this correctly. I thought maybe someone would know. Thanks — Jackstarrzz14

Repeat section titles[edit]

Why are there two format sections? One of them is a subsection in the production section? (Fran Bosh (talk) 21:54, 30 January 2023 (UTC))[reply]
