Aren't you revealing too much in the summary of the book? As far as I remember it's Vilgefortz that hunts the girl for her magical powers, not Emhyr. Blood of Elves EN translation publication dates

[edit]

Where did you get the information that Blood of Elves was published in 2008? I checked both UK and US versions - they are scheduled to come out in April 2009. AragornSG (talk) 15:17, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Google Print gives 2008 for this edition: [1]. Same for WorldCat ([2]) and Amazon as well ([www.amazon.com/Blood-Elves-Gollancz-Andrzej-Sapkowski/dp/0575083182%3FSubscriptionId%3D0RAFPGWETQZXMXGFNN02%26tag%3Damzna9-1-20%26linkCode%3Dxm2%26camp%3D2025%26creative%3D165953%26creativeASIN%3D0575083182]). The only thing that vary are months. Were did you find your 2009 info? I'd assume that your 2009 info is for softcover and/or US editions, but UK hardcover (presumably) was 2008.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 18:16, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I found the source of confusion. The version I was looking for was published by Orion and it's coming in April 2009. The version you linked (which I couldn't find on Amazon, as Orion version was replacing the old, not sold directly by Amazon). Take a look at what's listed on Amazon now: search for Blood of Elves: [3] and Blood of Elves by Orion: [4] So the bottom line is, you're right, first edition was published last year.AragornSG (talk) 12:25, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Krew elfów was published in English as "Blood of Elves" on 16 October 2008 in both hardback and paperback, ISBNs 9780575077843 and 9780575083189 respectively, by Orion Publishing Group. Physchim62 (talk) 13:12, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
For the UK edition, Amazon.co.uk is a better place to look than Amazon.com. Ausir (talk) 00:24, 17 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
