Why would you title this article “Bloody Mary (Lady Gaga song) and not just Bloody Mary (Song) by removing the redirect? 4theloveofallthings (talk) 00:04, 10 December 2022 (UTC)

Bloody Mary (Lady Gaga song) → Bloody Mary (song) – Only song with an article only called "Bloody Mary". Bloody Mary (Nerve Endings) has (Nerve Endings) at the end and Un Blodymary is the Spanish name for a bloody mary. - Double Oppose and speedy close firstly because "only X with an article" (which this isn't) is contrary to the way en.wp works and for songs doesn't apply when there's a much bigger Broadway song in a show. "Bloody Mary is the girl I love. Now ain't that too damn bad! Her skin is tender as Dimaggio's glove. Her skin is tender as Dimaggio's glove." Secondly because the other song with an article charted higher than the Gaga song. In ictu oculi (talk) 22:40, 22 December 2022 (UTC)
- What nonsense. Please see WP:SONGDAB. 162 etc. (talk) 06:13, 23 December 2022 (UTC)
- It's not nonsense - Broadway songs in shows which are more notable than standalone songs take precedence. This is a basic provision of WP:DISAMBIGUATION. If you don't like it then start an RfC to have pop songs taken out of normal en.wp checks and balances. In ictu oculi (talk) 21:03, 23 December 2022 (UTC)
- You can't "double oppose and speedy close" RMs you disagree with - especially when they appear to be supported by a well-established naming convention. See also WP:NWFCTM. 162 etc. (talk) 21:50, 23 December 2022 (UTC)

- Support as per WP:DABSONG: disambiguation is only necessary when two articles about songs with the same title exist. Currently, the South Pacific song does not have an article, and the Silversun Pickups song is called "Bloody Mary (Nerve Endings)", not "Bloody Mary". Therefore, the Gaga song is the only song titled "Bloody Mary" which has an article. If confusion exists then maybe a hatnote to the disambiguation page might be useful? - Support per FeFiFo, but also because this is most likely going to be the most viewed article page with the name "Bloody Mary". PHShanghai | they/them (talk) 18:32, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
