Bobby lewis who sung tossin and turnin was born in hodgenville, ky and was caucasion he was my cousins best friend and saw him when i was young and he started out by singing at the Lincoln Jamboree in hodgenville, Ky—Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.215.29.145 (talk • contribs) 20:47 8 February 2007 Friend, I believe you when you say all this. However, the Bobby Lewis that the article is referring to is a black man. Your cousin's best friend may have sung "Tossin' and Turnin'" in concert and may have even recorded a version of it, but the Bobby Lewis that's being referred to in the Wikipedia article is the one who was from Indianapolis, Indiana and had a #1 Billboard charts hit with the song. Bobby Lewis is a common name, so confusion can easily ensue. Slater79 02:13, 4 July 2007 (UTC) |
