Devonshire

[edit]

Just noticed that roads such as Dawlish, Tiverton, Teignmouth and Exeter are named after towns in Devonshire. What is the historical relevance of this? 87.194.30.164 01:48, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vincent/Goodman

[edit]

"The now dilapidated building beside the library on the Bristol Road belonged to timber merchants W J Vincent & Co Ltd". Is that correct? I thought the place next to the library was the builders' merchant Goodmans, and that Vincents was on the Bristol Road more towards Edgbaston. Mind you, I was last there in the seventies so my memory may not be reliable. 86.132.223.105 (talk) 12:47, 6 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

My recollection agrees with yours. 109.152.150.174 (talk) 10:58, 18 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Merge with Selly Oak

[edit]

Bournbrook as an area doesn't exist in reality. The whole area is covered by Selly Oak and if there is an area called Bournbrook it is certainly a tiny area located around a small segment of the Bristol Road, definitely not as large as this article indicates it to be. -=Troop=- (talk) 19:16, 25 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You'll not be telling the people who were born that that it doesn't exist, will you!? 31.52.251.160 (talk) 17:39, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
