The "Dropped candy" origin from the footbridge sounds absurd, surely this was named because it was considered a nice treat to serve while playing Bridge.Saxophobia (talk) 17:28, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is completely false! That a document outlining the basic rights and freedoms of a country's citizens would make reference to a candy, let alone enshrine something as the "official candy" of that country!
That, and by reading the Charter, one can easily see that there is no reference to candy or Bridge Mixture.
