Article issues

[edit]
  • There's some confusion in the sources on the weight - between 126 and 133 ton - neither source mentions whether the weight is for fueled or unfueled loco.
  • No data for Class 47 bogied locos? weight? tractive effort?
  • Wheel diameter - original figure doesn't match russian reference - maybe the russian wheels were smaller - anyone know?
Also
  • More info about cabin, also self-exciting generator may need better explaining.
  • Figure of 70000lbf for tractive effort (maximum?) is commented out in article as it has no reference? is this for what model? source? etc
  • Some sources say a 10 pole three phase motor - what does this mean ? is one of the poles the rotor? - leaving 9 poles as stator poles?
  • Also mentioned is a british rail requirement for a 3000hp loco - is there more info on this - did they give up?
  • Also is there any good/reliable explanation for why brush went for so much overkill on the hp.?
  • Also can anyone clarify on the type of transmission between motor and axle - exactly what sort - was it folded cardan shaft, or just reinforced rubber flaps - or something else/in between.
  • Also bogie suspension type?

"The engine is a four-stroke turbocharged oil-cooled design, with the oil being cooled by water in a heat exchanger, and the water-cooled in radiators" - Surely not? Oil cooled would be unlike any other medium speed engine of traction or marine type?81.153.115.94 (talk) 20:45, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That is a nothing but a fundraising appeal. Please wait until construction (of at least the frame) is actually under way and there is also a writeup in a reputable third-party publication such as The Railway Magazine or Heritage Railway. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 11:23, 1 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
