Bungarus lividusLesser black krait – Per Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(fauna) "use the common name where possible", the common name unambiguously refers to this critter. Scrolling down the google and scholar, they use this common name alongside the scientific name. though many just stick to scientific names in general for all organisms. Question- Does this take into account its common name throughout its range or just India? ie Nepal and Bangladesh. Also this and the name of the other species proposed are very similar.
