Contested deletion

[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... This is about a business with incredible historical relevance from an African American perspective, and also from an advertising perspective. As an amateur American historian, I became interested in this company when I found out that many of the iconic commercials that I grew up with were all produced by an African American company. I did an incredible amount of research, and based the style of the article on other advertising companies that I saw featured on Wikipedia. I am a teacher and an amateur historian, and am unsure why this is up for deletion? --Willowswells (talk) 16:54, 2 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

On further reflection you're right, this should not be deleted but cleaned up. It is still written with far too promotional a tone and it needs to be edited to reflect Wikipedia policies, but it's not a speedy-delete. I'll remove the tag. Zad68 (talk) 18:33, 2 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
