Re-opening[edit]

https://www.nic.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/5thStudio-FinalReport.pdf doesn't say anything about this station. The text on p94 discusses a proposed new city in this area around Calvert. On p93 the station symbol is at Steeple Claydon where the is passive provision (i.e. a gap) being left such that building a station there on EWR remains open option in the future. --FDent (talk) 19:27, 30 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Note on the passive provision here: http://www.eastwestrail.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/information_sheet_steeple_claydon_station_proposal_october_2014.pdf --FDent (talk) 20:15, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The cited Aylesbury Vale Draft Strategy doesn't mention Calvert railway station. Some mix-up with the then proposed Aylesbury Park is likely here.--FDent (talk) 19:57, 2 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

First freight for HS2 engineering work arrives[edit]

I don't know enough about the engineering to write this up, let alone whether or not it is important, still less where to put it. But someone else may?

Have fun! (Acknowledgements to Google Alerts, which decided I might want to know, because it has the magic words "East West Rail" in it.) --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 00:26, 23 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
