Split Spaceman Spiff
[edit]Judging from the article, Spiff seems to have the most sources and would appear to be thmost notable of the Alter Egos. it would make this article less cluttered if he had his own article --Hadomaru (talk) 08:04, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
Thank You

Clean-up
[edit]I've tried to clean up some of the mechanics of this page (grammer, phrasing, etc.). I'll leave it to others to decide if it's yet up to wikipedia standards :) Obviously, it still needs citations. Genesiswinter (talk) 02:05, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Safari Al2.jpg
[edit]Image:Safari Al2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Copyedit
[edit]This is a heads-up: There's a rather lot of cruft here, and I'm probably going to cut out the less important parts (as well as improving the general quality of the article). Lordofmodesty (talk) 20:40, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
- Seeing no opposition, I cut the least notable characters. The article could still stand to see some copyediting, though. Lord of Modesty 18:50, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
"Hobbes is not seen taking part in Calvin's alter ego fantasies..." - UNTRUE
[edit]Under "General characteristics" is currently the statement "Hobbes is not seen taking part in Calvin's Alter ego fantasies other than to criticize his choice of alternate personae." I don't know how many times this statement can be demonstrated untrue, but I can think of two off the top of my head. One where calvin is imagining himself a zombie and walks up to Hobbes, who looks blankly at him for a bit and then himself gets in on the game. And the other where Calvin is imagining himself a Calvinosaur and proclaiming himself to be the greatest beast of his time - and then does something to Hobbes and then the "Calvinosaur" ends up getting chased by the "Sabre Toothed Tiger", the one beast that was greater, or something like that. Granted the latter example may not have Hobbes actually playing into the fantasy, but I'll bet there are enough examples that the statement is at most usually true. 174.25.26.154 (talk) 01:05, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
- You are absolutely correct. I'm going to remove that claim. Not only do I personally know this to be untrue, but the citation referenced at the end of the sentence ([1]) also does not support the claim. In the link, paragraph 9, it states "...Hobbes is often a participant, albeit a critical one (1/1/95). Hobbes also plays a role in many of Calvin's fantasies that do not focus especially on Hobbes – for example, he appears and is aware of Calvin's scheme to create duplicates of himself (1/10/90). These schemes, like Hobbes, are semi-visible to the world beyond Hobbes..." which is clearly the opposite of what is stated in the article. I'm pulling out this claim for being erroneous and unreferenced and will undo any attempts to revert it back into the page.ocrasaroon| blah blah blah
