The owners of Philadelphia's Carpenters' Hall
[edit]Today, I changed owner's name to the precise "Carpenters’ Company of the City and County of Philadelphia", but it is strange that the article on their building is the only article on the oldest trade guild in the United States, founded 1724, well before their building was constructed. The building is very significant for the early history of Pennsylvania and the United States of America, only exceeded in importance by the Pennsylvania State House, now known by everyone as Independence Hall.
However, I am considering writing an article on the "Carpenters’ Company of the City and County of Philadelphia" with appropriate sources. I have posted this proposed article here, but I will also post it on the wp:drawing board where a full response is likely. --DThomsen8 (talk) 22:26, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
